Our favorite club, TURBINA opens the season

September 10, 2025

For 4 years now, TURBINA has been stacking its building blocks to create a colorful, inclusive meeting place for the curious minds of Budapest. On Friday, September 12, we are setting the table for the autumn / winter club season with a multi-layered opening event.

The paddles won’t stop turning: until the end of December, TURBINA will fill itself with more than 200 programs – countless concerts ranging from oldschool and new-wave rap to psychedelic Balkan funk and well-known indie bands, along with exhibitions, music-focused talks, and electronic club nights that last until morning every weekend.

The ever-growing Holdturbina series continues, a humorous UFO exhibition arrives, Kölyökturbina keeps flowing, and the most popular Budapest clubnights return to the proper slot, while the upstairs Bistro is entering an entirely new chapter.

All this kicks off with a grand season opening on September 12: in the Main Hall, the afternoon begins with the performers of the rap talent search Budapest Open Mic All Stars (Szunyog Tess, Lekvárherceg, Sallai & Sikkboy Kiddie, Jeti, Bullet), before Holdturbina All Stars take control for the night – from Meduzah through Technokool to Sonic Rain. In the Club Room, the evening starts with a jam from the Szett series, followed by Elza, Enbébi, Switch Nollie, and Vedat Akdag steering the dancefloor until dawn.

TURBINA’s community spirit is further strengthened by the Paint Our Backstage! action, where with the help of painter Sibitka Panni anyone can leave their mark on the walls of the musicians’ dressing rooms. The Bistro will host a nail art workshop, Turbina Talk, and a special quiz before Chris Villon and txybandi set the late-night mood. Meanwhile, the Exhibition Space will feature Bogotá X Budapest Bridge – Ghosts, a show connecting contemporary art from the Colombian and Hungarian capitals, complemented by a linocut workshop from Zsófi Ferenczi.

TURBINA’s season opener is at once a concert, a club night, an exhibition, a workshop, and a celebration of togetherness – everyone will find their own gateway into the new season.
