Telekom Electronic Beats Hungary releases its second compilation album on 10 Jun 2022 full of skillful local talents on it, in the genres of POP, CLUB and EXPERIMENTAL. We couldn't have imagined that 900+ tracks would be submitted to our competition, keeping our judges up late into the night for days. It turned out, however, that the internal combustion engine of musical ideas is not at all limited to a few dozen people in our small little homeland: talent seems to be making its way in 2022, too, even if mass consumption or commercial radio stations have no interest in facilitating it. This new Electronic Beats compilation, available on all streaming platforms, is a celebration of these talents.
For our SZELEKTOR competition 900+ tracks had beed uploded, we would never dreamed of this much, of which, with the help of our professional jury (Solére, Beton.Hofi, Carson Coma, Tolo, LAU, Iamyank, and Erik Kolbenheyer, who navigates the EXILES label), we selected thirty-three in the pop, club and experimental music categories.
Tracklist:
Erményi Gabó - One More Night (feat. Kadøsa)
Dalma - Deeply
Privé Love Band - Gyertya (feat. Repáruk Balázs)

EXILES & Selected Sounds: Claire Rousay | Adela Mede | MA'AM | Zsüja / Turbina
For the next event of Turbina and Selected Sounds the EXILES label joins in as well, to bring you Claire Rousay and Adela Mede!
CLAIRE ROUSAY
Rousay creates her sensitive music from background noises - whispers, the ticking of clocks, the sound of traffic. The emo ambient artist records every single day, from beginning to the end, so her music is actually the sound of her life, in a different context.
claire rousay - a kind of promise

ADELA MEDE
Adela Mede plays with the connection between sound and technology in her trilingual tracks, which she sings in Hungarian, Slovakian and English. Her intimate music is inspired by folklore and minimalism among others, her debut album will be released on February 25th.
Adela Mede - Wind Chime

MA'AM
MA'AM's electronica, based mostly on improvisation, puts ancient languages in a digital environment. She's an important part of the Hungarian experimental scene, with several workshops and theatre playsalso on her resume.
MA'AM - Ignora

When we say pop music, we don't just mean the chart-topping songs but also those that try to set new directions, that don't fall into comfortable patterns. That was Björk or Prodigy in their times, and that's Aisha Devi and Lyra Pramuk in 2021, who are walking on new, unexplored music landscapes with their very unique voices. They will be performing in the magical yet airy interior of the Rumbach synagogue, which reopened this summer.

It has a reason that Ross Tones, better known as Throwing Snow, the wonderkid of Houndstooth label had the chance to work with the likes of Four Tet and Flying Lotus, to play at Boiler Room more than once and to support Bonobo or Jon Hopkins on their tour. He treats electronica like a potter does to a vessel: he forms it any way he wants, going from warm atmospheres to steely coldness - but always in a rewarding way.
He will be supported by one of the the top Hungarian glitch-electronic producers (who works as a perfectionist sound designer and creating his own instruments since he was a kid) 9b0 who spent five years to create and fine-tune his sophomore album.
