There were quite a few applicants from our previous triple compilation, but this year you’ve really overachieved yourselves, which we’re crazy about, because that means the joy of creation, the motivation to create, isn’t just working in a dozen people at all. At the same time, you put us in a serious position, and jurying from dusk till dawn started with already well-known musicians, and the list is finally ready.

For the second time in our SZELEKTOR competition, we were looking for the most promising young Hungarian talents in pop, club and xperimental categories and this evening we will focus on club music. Until sunset, the DJs and producers who came to our attention during the selection will take turns at the DJ booth of the legendary Supersonic (Blue / Red Hell).

The Oslo-based Ute.rec crew with their label and forest rave parties are on a mission: they started to revolutionise trance, streamlining it and injecting fresh air into the genre's pillars, while retaining its 90s heartfelt warmth. We're delighted that they accepted our invite to Budapest for the first time to change the paradigm. And we're not going to let our pupils tighten in the clubroom either: here we're expecting Phara, who married warehouse hardness with future-tech alien sounds and who blew LÄRM to bits two years ago. On the home front, we're joined for the first time by And/or from the Potent posse and Tom_Ato, a promising new face on the local scene, as well as reliable guardians of various points on the techno-trance spectrum. A strong day is on the horizon, don't miss it.

EXILES & Selected Sounds: Claire Rousay | Adela Mede | MA'AM | Zsüja / Turbina
For the next event of Turbina and Selected Sounds the EXILES label joins in as well, to bring you Claire Rousay and Adela Mede!
CLAIRE ROUSAY
Rousay creates her sensitive music from background noises - whispers, the ticking of clocks, the sound of traffic. The emo ambient artist records every single day, from beginning to the end, so her music is actually the sound of her life, in a different context.

ADELA MEDE
Adela Mede plays with the connection between sound and technology in her trilingual tracks, which she sings in Hungarian, Slovakian and English. Her intimate music is inspired by folklore and minimalism among others, her debut album will be released on February 25th.

Mysterious, psychedelic techno straight from Colombia to Budapest. Gotshell, alias Alessan Main’s unpredictable set, wandering from old school techno to ambient is what’s supposed to make you lose yourself and find others at Napturbina. The Tresor resident-producer will dive deep into his experimental electronica at our daytime party, with the end of his set finally not so close to the time of waking up. And if you look closely, you can find the name of a NVC resident also in the line.-up.

When we say pop music, we don't just mean the chart-topping songs but also those that try to set new directions, that don't fall into comfortable patterns. That was Björk or Prodigy in their times, and that's Aisha Devi and Lyra Pramuk in 2021, who are walking on new, unexplored music landscapes with their very unique voices. They will be performing in the magical yet airy interior of the Rumbach synagogue, which reopened this summer.
